- Children who are taken ill at school
are removed from class to the school office and attended to by the
School Assistant. Parents are then contacted wherepossible. Please
ensure that changes of address and contact numbers are given to the
school office.
-
- The school can only administer the
most basic first-aid in a case of need. Should the injury be severe,
an ambulance will be called, you will be informed and your child taken
to hospital. If for any reason this does not meet with your choice,
kindly let the Headteacher know in writing the procedure you would
wish the school to adopt.
-
- A letter is required if you wish your
child to be excused any physical activities for medical reasons (the
Area Schools Medical Officer does not consider 'having a common cold'
a valid reason for missing P.E. or Games).
-
-
Children should not bring any form of medication (pills or
linctus etc.) to school unless a prior arrangement has been made with
the Headteacher for essential medication, e.g. asthma inhalers.
