Our School Somers Heath County Primary School was formed in April 1984 by the amalgamation of the former Infant and Junior Schools. These had been established in 1956. The building was refurbished in 1987 and provides a delightful working environment. Classrooms are spacious and each has its own cloakroom area, boys and girls toilets, washbasins and sinks. There are two playgrounds and the school fields, which include a soccer pitch, a concrete cricket strip and a “wildlife area”, which surround the two-storey school building. The Assembly/Dining Hall is well equipped as is the school library. A nursery class was opened in the Spring of 1996 which admits up to 26 full- time equivalent. children. Facilities in the nursery are excellent. New disabled toilets and accessibility facilities and a new I.C.T./Library Area were built in April 05. A new entrance, office and staffroom were upgraded in September 05. |
