School Times

There is a morning breaktime from 10.20 a.m. - 10.35 a.m., but no afternoon break.

Lunchtime is from 12 noon to 1.00 p.m. (Juniors).

                               11.45 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. (Infants).
 

Lunchtimes

Children may remain at school or go home for lunch. Where children go home for their lunch, they should not return to school until 12.50 p.m.

 

If children remain at school they may bring a packed lunch or have a school meal. The cost for a school lunch is, at present, £1.65 per day or £8.25 for the whole week.

 

We find it saves a considerable amount of teaching and administrative time if dinner money is sent to school on Monday for the number of meals needed for the week.   Your child will be credited with a meal if he/she is absent for any reason.   Paying by cheque and direct to the class teacher is also very helpful (cheques made payable to Thurrock Borough Council).

Parents may apply through the school office for Free School Meals for their children.

 

Midday staff provide effective supervision at all times for children on the premises at lunch time.

Where parents intend to take their children on holiday during term time, they must obtain a form from the school office and return the completed form at least two weeks before the proposed absence.

Parents should note that only 10 days may be granted in any one year.
